Install and Activate Content Control #
1. Go to your WordPress admin area #
2. In the side menu, hover over (or click) Plugins and click Add New #
3. Search for Content Control #
4. Click Install Now #
5. Click Activate #
How To Find Content Control on Your Site #
Getting to the Content Control Admin Page #
In the side menu, hover (or click) Settings and click Content Control.
You’ll see the main Content Control Admin page. Your list of restrictions displays by default.

Getting to the Content Control Block Controls #
Edit a post or page using the block editor (Gutenberg). Add a block or click an existing block. You’ll see the Content Controls block settings on the sidebar.
Click Enable Controls to begin adding restrictions to your block!
Other Ways #
Full Site Editor #
If your theme supports full site editing, go to Appearance > Editor. Create or click an existing block to see the Content Controls block settings in the sidebar.
Widget Editor #
From WordPress 5.8 on up, you can see the Content Controls block settings in the widgets editor. Go to Appearance > Widgets. Create or click an existing block to see the Content Controls block settings in the sidebar.
